REFORESTATION
The area around Pemuteran is one of the most arid areas of Bali, and large parts of it have been deforested. For many years now, the poor local population has been harvesting wood in order to for example cook and build new houses. In Java, the possible effects of this deforestation have become clearly visible during the past few years; enormous mudslides and a significant change in the microclimate occurred there. Together with the local population and the managers of the national park, we wish to discover which areas could be replanted and we also hope to explore alternatives to cooking on log fires, such as using small hobs connected to a gas cylinder.


HEALTHCARE
In the near future, we want to explore possible avenues for helping promote healthcare. After consulting with local government and the local clinics, we are hoping to provide support for certain projects in this field.
